Color Blocking is Classic

Piet Mondrian made this painting in 1930. Today this image is iconic. Can this piece of art go out of style? A rhetorical question, but I think not.

In the August, 2010 issue of Harper's Bazaar, the Color Blocked is said to be "on the outs".

Store the Color Blocked?
Really?

However, two pages earlier, VIBRANT is touted, with many great examples of color blocking.

Classics are enduring, and cannot be touched by the vagaries or contradictions of the so-called "fashion elite".

I'm sure Yves Saint Laurent would have approved!

This T-shirt from H&M probably would have made Yves smile, after all if it wasn't for him, this shirt probably wouldn't have happened. And the icing on the cake, this T is made of organic cotton. I can't wait to wear it with my Moschino tuxedo jacket and jeans.

Here's to You, Yves Saint Laurent!

Let's take a moment to remember Yves Saint Laurent. He made the tuxedo sexy, and safari chic.

I will miss him.
