Michelle should only Shop at J. Crew

Looking at these pictures of Michelle in London, you would never know that she is wearing very expensive designers such as Isabel Toledo and Alaia, among others. These outfits come across as impersonal as outfits purchased from Ann Taylor or Banana Republic.

I think Donna Karan sums it up best with, "I hope and believe that this is just a moment...And I hope to be able to dress her, and not only dress her but address her, sit down -- I'm interested in her totality as a woman."

I think this is the reason Michelle isn't able to make the most of the clothes of these incredible designers; they have never met her so the designs seem void of that certain something that could be captured if they had the chance to get to know her and see her move firsthand.

I don't know why Michelle thinks her best friends are pearls and the cardigan. Neither serve her well.






Without the pearls and cardigan, Michelle looks much less encumbered and more of the moment.


Even her shoe choice is very generic.


Carla looks much more like she lives in the 21st century as opposed to Michelle who looks like she is trying to live in Camelot.

New Balance plus Nine West equals Niiice

These trainers are so SuperFab I may have to sport them. The only disappointing thing about this line is the spokesmodel; she is Murakami's worst nightmare - a fake!

At first, I thought it was brilliant that they collaborated with Murakami to create a clever spokesmodel, but then I realized it was a cheap imitation...boohoo!

No logo is better than a faux go.

The PS on these trainers: They are basically walking shoes (would not be good for exercising). The construction is somewhat flimsy for $89, and the shoes were not comfortable (for me, anyway). But they are pretty good looking.

Delfina Delettrez is Delightfully Dark

I have been searching for Delfina Delettrez's jewelry for almost a year now. When I went on her website over the summer of 2008, Bergdorf Goodman was listed as a place to find her jewels. However, after visiting Bergdorf's and asking about the whereabouts of these jewels, I was met with blank stares and sent to various disappointingly empty (of Delfina Delettrez) jewelry displays.

The images of her jewelry on style.com charmed me at first sight. Her designs are macabre with a wink and disturbingly beautiful.

Well, lucky for me, I finally found them - in South Beach of all places - on Lincoln Road, at Alchemist.

It was love at first sight. Fortunately, I was very limited due to extremely small wrists and ring size! Even with these limitations, I was able to do enough damage; I left with a bracelet and necklace.
