'Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?' and 'Where were you raised? In a barn?' are some of the expressions I often heard growing up in the Midwest. I didn't realize these expressions were so tied to the middle of the country until I moved to the east coast as a teenager. When I used these expressions, the recipients often reacted with puzzlement as if I were using a quaint expression from some bygone era.
Maybe an expression of this generation will be, "If you like[d] it then you should have put a ring on it".
Single Ladies is one of the singles from Beyonce's upcoming album, untitled at this point. It was scheduled to be released November 18th, but for whatever reason the album will be released at a later undecided date.
