Krom's Picks from Gap, Fall 2008 - Revisited

In two previous posts, Patrick puts Gap on the Map again and Krom's picks from Gap, Fall 2008, I selected superfabulous items from images of Patrick Robinson's Gap, Fall 2008 collection. I finally was able to see the clothes up close and personal. The verdict?

An emphatic YES to the puffer coat!

Yes to these two great sweaters! Both of these sweaters are basic with a twist, and will take you very far.

Yes to these jackets! These two jackets have nice lines, a great fit, great versatility and look much more expensive than they are.

NO to the shearling! While the vest and coat are well designed and the leather exterior is fine, the fleece interior is synthetic and yucky feeling. And I don't think this vest or coat will keep you very warm like real shearling would.

I have not seen this jacket in person yet, but it looks like a very strong candidate for purchase, classic and in sync with the gray flannel and hunting themes that are so popular this season. Imagine how chic this jacket would look with velvet jeans...
