The Oscars are so 5 days ago...

But here's the lowdown nonetheless.

After her performance at the Oscars, Emma showed us she is one to watch... Hilarious and Stylish.

Natalie usually looks flawless, but I'm not loving the line of her necklace. Everything else works!

Michelle got the necklace right, but the pin at her waist is a don't in this instance.

Octavia proves you don't need to be a walking skeleton to be hot in Hollywood!

Comfortable can be beautiful.

The Mara sisters got it going on.

Kristin Wiig takes it to an HNL.

As does T-Fey!

Cruz got the color right, but the hair's a little uptight.

McQueen makes Jessica Chastain stand out.

Showing us old school is winning!

Usually I'm not a fan, but Brad pulled it off.

Funny, I feel as if I'm in a beauty pageant, and the host just asked me what my favorite colors are. (Red, White and Blue)

You Gotta Love a Spot with Beer and Cheese in the Title

Enter Earl's. But way more crowded!

Because we rushed straight from hockey, we ordered lots of stuff.

Grilled Calabro Mozzarella, Miso Mayo, Potato, Dill Pickles on English Muffin

Grilled New York State Cheddar, Pork Belly, Kimchi, and Fried Egg

Pulled Pork Shoulder Taco on Scallion Pancake, Cheese, Slaw, Cilantro, Lime

Mac and cheese made of goat cheese, rosemary, and shredded chicken rounded out the order. The two grilled cheese sandwiches and taco were uneffingbelievable. Next time, I would pass on the mac, but there's lots of other stuff I want to try. We wanted to get the Bread Pudding which is subject to availability, but we didn't know its preparation would take 45 minutes. Armed with that knowledge, we would have ordered it when we ordered our beers and sandwiches.

One downside to this place is that, in addition to a wide variety of craft draft and canned beers and organic wines, the only beverage is water. That being said, my beer was excellent, but you know how I feel about iced tea and refills thereof.

The chef, Corey Cova, previously worked in the galley of a Navy submarine and the kitchen at Momofuku Ssäm Bar which explains how he can work in such tight quarters and expect his patrons to do the same (ingest therein).

Put Tea Room in the Name, and I'll Check It out

That's what Roebling did.

Our Choices

Round 1
Iced Tea, Way Too Early and Smoking Jacket

Round 2
Verbena Long Time Coming and Swamp Thing

The descriptions, intriguing and exciting, are sure to lead to commitment. The cocktails way exceeded expectation: informed, complex and refined. The food is equally so.

House Salad

Sheet Pasta, Ricotta, Cod, Potatoes, Walnut Oil

Mac n' Cheese

The service, totally cute and knowledgeable. The patrons, also pretty damn cute. Iced tea, not remarkable. Refills, don't even know, didn't get there.

and on the Spring 2012 Runway of Thomas Tait,

But you gotta Mix It Up!
(White and Black are good counterbalances)

I highly reKrommend viewing the World through Rose-Colored Glasses.
