New York Social Diary's coverage of the event begins with, "It was a perfect day for the biggest social event in New York's Spring season – the 28th annual Frederick Law Olmsted Awards Luncheon in the Conservatory Garden of Central Park at 105th Street and Fifth Avenue".

And ends with, "With over a thousand attending yesterday, it is impossible to list all of the prominent and socially active New Yorkers who attended, although both JH and I were there with our Digitals taking in as much for you to see as time would allow, and many of the faces are those you’ve seen many times on the Pages of NYSD over the years. It was a good time and for a good cause".

2010 Central Park Conservancy "Hat" Lunch

This year was the 28th Annual Frederick Law Olmsted Awards Luncheon aka the Central Park Conservancy "Hat" Luncheon.

Unfortunately, I was so busy hostessing my peeps, I wasn't able to get photos of all the extraordinary head wear.

But I did capture the hats of nearby ladies.

I received many requests from those who read about the making of my hat to see Krom wearing the hat along with the entire ensemble.

As I was leaving, this guy (the legendary Bill Cunningham of the New York Times) took my picture, a real KromStyle coup. We have had several encounters, and this is the first time he didn't look me up and down and move on.

This is an extraordinary way to spend the afternoon ☀ delicious food, amazing friends, abundant eye candy (the garden, the hats, and the famous), great conversation ♥ all honoring the people who make a difference in the life of the park and the city $ fundraising to keep Central Park looking superfabulous so it can be enjoyed by all.

As I was walking home, a man approached me and said, "That's the best hat I've ever seen". It doesn't get much better than that for KromStyle.

Central Park Finally Got a Chanel 2.55 Handbag

Enter Central Park at Fifth Avenue and 72nd Street; keep walking westward, along the street. Follow the chic Chanel signs; you have arrived.

These are the rules for getting tickets since all the timed tickets available through the Chanel Mobile Art website are sold out.

There are many rules here, but they are worth following.
Go up the stairs. All the people who will assist you henceforth are modeliscious and impeccably dressed in Chanel ensembles.

Notice this beautiful building on the way to the pod made out of mirrorized glass. This is where the cocktail parties were/are held to celebrate the pod, the art within, and Chanel. I've been in twice and the atmosphere is cozy with couches and fine beverages and hors d'oeuvres (too dimly lit for photos with my camera, so sorry).

Keep going.

If it's raining as it was the second time I visited, at least there are glamorous umbrellas!
